Light Up the Night

What race turns into a dance party? What race brings the local running community together on a Saturday night for a pizza party? What race features hundreds of kids in glow paint and glow sticks having the time of their lives?  LIGHT UP THE NIGHT, featuring a 5k and Kids Run!!

Adding to an already awesome event, we have many new features in store for this year and we can't wait to make your night one you won't forget! All made possible by new race sponsors College Hills Honda and Aultcare, the 5k course will feature 4 music and black light stations as well as a completely lit, marked course!

After the 5k race is over, the party begins! Disclaimer-I will already be partying at the start of the race, so join in with me anytime! As the music is blaring and even more fun begins, you will get to enjoy pizza, as well as other post-race foods and dance the night away! Spark Entertainment will be lighting it up, literally, at the start/finish line providing the best music and an amazing laser light show! Add that onto a fully lit course, DJ Bobby playing the tunes on course as well as other music and light stations, you will have fun around every corner!

We will award the top 3 male and female overall as well as the top overall male and female in each of the following age groups: 6&U, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

As you can see by the award categories, this race is very family friendly as we really focus on the kids! We want them to have a blast, so to do that, we bring 130+ kids from the Vertical Runner--Wooster Kids Running Camp and turn them loose to run as fast as they can on the 5k course! After months of training, this kids will be ready to set the course on fire and...we let them! They have been so fast in years past that some of them have beaten the adults and taken home the overall awards themselves!

The Kids Run will be a 1 mile run with course lighting and music, finishing in a light show with all the 5ker's cheering them on!

Be a part of something special and fun this August 26th! The Kids Run starts at 8:45 pm and then 5k will head out at 9:15 pm. All registrants will receive a white race shirt (really allowing the lights to make you glow), post race pizza, food and drink, glow paraphernalia a chance at awards and a fun-filled, family friendly race atmosphere you won't want to miss! **Cannot guarantee race shirt if registered after 7-31-17**
