Ashland Balloonfest 5k Run/Walk

Event Details: The Ashland Balloonfest 5k is put on by the Ashland Cross Country Parents Organization (ACCPO). This annual event, now in its 18^th year, coincides with the annual Balloonfest hosted by Ashland, County. The Balloonfest 5k Run and Walk is the longest running 5k in Ashland County. Proceeds from the 5k benefit the children of Ashland Middle School and Ashland High School cross-country teams.  There will also be a FREE Fun Run so the whole family can enjoy. Prizes will be given to the top boy and top girl in the fun run!

Location: Ashland Community Stadium, 1440 King Road, Ashland, Ohio 44805

Schedule of Events: Registration at the event will run from 8:00 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. The Fun Run starts at 8:30 am and the 5k Race starts at 9:00 a.m. from the stadium. Awards will follow immediately after the last runner has crossed the finish line at the stadium.

Pricing:

5k Early Registration (March 8 - June 15) = $25.00 with guarantee of t-shirt

5k Late and Day of Registration (June 16 - June 30) = $30.00 without guarantee of t-shirt

Fun Run Late and Day of Registration (June 16 - June 30) = free!

Medals for the top 3 finishers (male or female) for the walk

Medals for top boy and top girl in the Fun Run

About the Course:

Roads will be blocked off and volunteers will be stationed at each roadblock to make sure runners are safe. There will also be members from the police and sheriff’s department on hand that day for extra security and safety measures. There will be a water station at the halfway point as well as a medical doctor on location.
