2023 Medina July 4th Twin Sizzler Races presented by Westfield

The Medina County Senior & Adult Foundation Twin Sizzler Series is excited for 2023, planning all of your favorite races: 5k, 10k, Fun Run, Kid's Run, and 27 Mile Bike Race, all starting from Medina's historic Public Square.  As always, runners/riders are welcome to participate in one or multiple races as the start times allow runners to pair the 5k & 10k and cyclists to pair the 5k & bike race.

We are especially excited to announce that for 2023, all 5k, 10k and bike finishers will receive a high-quality medal to display their achievement!

(Please note that due to all 5k, 10k, and bikers receiving a finishers medal, age group awards will be limited to just the first place winners.)  

Course route for 5k:  5k run

Planned bike route (depending on race day construction):  27 mile bike race. 

Pre-race packet pickup 11am - 2pm Monday July 3 at 144 North Broadway parking lot (enter between 225 East Liberty and Old Medina Cemetary off East Liberty for those that register by July 1.   Race day pickup begins at 6:30 am on the morning of Tuesday, July 4.  

5k/10k/1 mile notes:  Running race starting/finish lines are on the Broadway Street side of Public Square. Race is timed with chip start and end time.  5k begins at 7:45 am.  1 Mile Fun Run at 8:30 am.  10k at 9:00 am.  

Bike race notes:  All groups start on Court Street on west side of Public Square at 8:15 am. The finish line is on West Washington St. All riders must finish the bike race by 11:00 am.  Bike race awards will be given in the Expert class (for those who start in Expert wave) as well as in each age group in the Citizen class. (There will be no Citizen overall awards.)  You MUST start with the appropriate wave of riders to qualify for an age group award. Riders starting with the Expert class are only eligible for awards in the Expert class and will not be considered for the age groups.

The best parking is in the parking garage behind the Medina County Courthouse on the east side of the square or the parking garage on North Huntington northwest of the square.
