2018 Wooster Wellness 5k and Kids Run

CELEBRATING 5 YEARS UNDER DIRECTION OF VERTICAL RUNNER RACE MANAGEMENT!

Wooster's classic event, The Wooster Wellness 5k and Kids Run-powered by College Hills Honda, is back and ready to be the biggest ever in 2018!  

This year, all race proceeds will go to the Jeff Polen Music Ministry.

5K:  The race will begin at 9:00 am and will feature the beautiful grounds of the OARDC at the Ohio State University's ATI campus. Chip timing, water station, multiple on course entertainment locations, and a unique route are among the on course amenities that runners will enjoy.  A race t-shirt will be included in the entry fee and all paid 5K race entries will also receive cotton candy, bananas, water and....ice cream sandwiches and chocolate milk courtesy of Hartzler's Family Dairy!!...All Included!  

5K Pricing:

Early Bird pricing- $25.00   2-15-18 thru 4-30-18

Standard pricing-  $27.00   5-1-18 thru 6-24-18

Late pricing-         $30.00   6-25-18 thru 7-13-18*

Raceday-             $35.00*

*Must sign up by June 24th, 2018 to ensure T-shirt availability on Race Day.

5K Awards:  Top 3 overall men and women will receive a commemorative award courtesy of our main sponsors College Hills Honda and Vertical Runner. 1st overall Masters and 1st overall Grandmasters in the men's and women's division will also receive an award.                                                                                                              

In addition to the overall awards, the following age groups will also be recognized: (top 2 male and female) 15&U, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

**No double awards, if you earn an overall award, you will be removed from your age group.

*** Masters division is 40+ and Grandmasters is 50+

COURSE RECORD PAYOUT: Our course records are as follows: Mens-Bobby Moldovan (2017)-15:12 and Womens-Emma McCarron (2017)-17:30. If you can come out and beat the course record, you will receive an additional $200 cash! If not, the money goes to the current course record holder(s)...that's right, break the course record and you could get paid forever!!

At this years 1 mile kids run, we are welcoming in the Vertical Runner Kids Camp! 150+ kids will be vying for the great prizes we have....with general registration combined with the kids campers, we might have 200 kids running around that morning-Gotta love it! 

Kids 1 Mile:  The race will begin at 8:00am and will feature a 1 mile loop course. The race will be chip timed and racers can expect to be greeted at the finish line by the hundreds of adult racers waiting to participate in the 5K!  All 1 mile racers will receive a t-shirt as well as ice cream sandwiches, chocolate milk, bananas, water and cotton candy! Parents are welcome to join their little runners during the 1 mile event!

Kids 1 Mile Pricing: 

Kids 1 mile- $15.00  3-15-18 thru 6-24-18

Late Kids 1 mile and race day- $17.00 6-25-18 thru 7-14-18

Raceday- $20.00

Must sign up by June 24th, 2018 to ensure availability on Race Day.

1 Mile Awards: The top overall boy and girl in each age group will receive a prize package courtesy of Toyrifix, and we will have certificates for the top 3 boys and girls in each age group. The age group are as follows: 4 & Under, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12
